How many strap sets do I need per diverter?
One set (4 straps) is the minimum for the 5x5 diverter. For the 10x10 diverter, we recommend 2 sets (8 straps) — 4 for corners and 4 for edge support. Additional straps prevent center sagging when the diverter holds water.
What can the steel hooks attach to?
The hooks grip ceiling grid T-bars, exposed steel beams, pipes, unistrut channels, wire rope, chain, and most overhead structural elements. The hook opening accommodates standard drop ceiling grid rails and small-diameter pipes.
Can I extend the straps for higher ceilings?
The rubber straps have some stretch but are designed for standard ceiling heights. For very high ceilings, connect two straps together end-to-end using the hooks, or use chain/wire between the ceiling support and the strap hooks.
Are these straps compatible with all SpillTech diverters?
Yes, ALDSTRAPS work with both the 5x5 (ALD55S) and 10x10 (ALD1010S) flat roof leak diverter panels. The pipe diverter (ALD1818S) includes its own 14-inch straps and does not require this accessory.
