Our Eagle Type 1 Stainless Steel Safety Cans are made from 100% 24 gauge #316 stainless steel. Available in three sizes, they feature a 16 gauge sturdy shock rim on the bottom to protect from damage during handling and use. 

Eagle stainless steel can lids are spring loaded, self closing, and can also be locked open during filling. All seams have been electric welded and the gaskets are long lasting Buna Rubber.

Your satisfaction with these stainless steel cans is assured through tough factory testing.

316 Stainless Steel is recommended for use with most alcohols, ethers, aromatics, hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbon products.

Stainless steel is compatible with most liquids in the flammable, combustible and corrosive categories. Some acids should be stored in polyethylene rather than stainless so please refer to our safety storage guides and compatibility guide link below.

Technical Information

• 24 gauge 316 stainless steel
• 1 gallon can is 6" wide by 8" deep and 13" high and weighs 4 pounds dry.
• 2½ gallon can is 11¼" wide by 9⁵⁄₈" high and weighs 8 pounds empty.
• Our 5 gallon stainless steel safety can is 11¼" wide by 15⁷⁄₈" high and weighs 10 pounds empty.
