Product Information
Our Flexible Wall Containment Berm is a portable response unit for capturing leaks and spills from frac tanks or machinery. The collapsible walls use a flexible hinge stake design that allows easy drive in access for tanker trucks and loading large equipment. Perimeter walls collapse in either direction then automatically spring back into shape without manual assistance.
Frac tank berms are available in 19 standard sizes, starting at 4' to 15 feet wide and 6' to 66 feet long. The 12 inch high walls provide a containment area capacity of 179 up to 7405 gallons.
They provide effective tank containment and drum storage systems for oil fields as well as other job sites requiring secondary spill containment. There is no assembly necessary - simply unroll the berm to use it in any chosen location. These tough and reliable spill containment solutions help prevent environmental pollution and meets SPCC and EPA compliance regulations.
Requires No Set Up or Parts
Similar to our rapid rise and foam wall berms, this secondary containment unit requires no assembly so is perfect for fast spill response. We recommend using these spill berms in flat locations and first clearing the ground surface of debris or sharp objects—such as twigs or stones— before deployment. Simply place in your chosen location, roll out, unfold, and it is ready for spill prevention use.
You can quickly load vehicles or equipment across any of the flexible perimeter sidewalls. After compression, the collapsible walls' stake hinges automatically spring back upright without manual intervention.
Once your spill protection needs are met, sweep, clean, fold and store this portable unit in a dry environment for future use. Unlike assembly-required models (such as L-bracket or aluminum angle berms), you will never have to worry about replacing or keeping track of spare parts.
Heavy Duty Materials - Drive In Access
Our spill containment berms feature a rugged construction and chemical resistant membrane made of Copolymer-2000. Flexible urethane stake hinges sit at 12-inch spacing along the 12" high perimeter walls. They provide the berm with a rigid structure without the need for any additional wall support. These two-way hinge walls automatically pop upright once vehicle/foot traffic passes over, or, when oil drums roll off them.
The durable berm materials are rated for secure spill containment on firm and soft ground surfaces; from asphalt or gravel, to sand and soil. Find more information about chemical compatibility in our guide below (under Technical Information).
Frac Tank Berm Accessories
We offer several berm accessories to enhance and extend your secondary spill containment unit's service life.
A ground cover provides extra protection against punctures from debris beneath the berm, such as sharp rocks or sticks. Track belts are a great option for containment units servicing heavy drive in vehicles, like tanker trucks. This additional barrier will minimize tire abrasion, movement and wear on the containment area floor.
Consider installing a drain plug with self-bailer to remove rainwater from un-monitored berms in outdoor locations. If you are running cables or hoses to/from your secondary containment berm, a hose stand will act as a bridge to protect its wall integrity.
