Replaced all our old flammable cabinets with these and the quality difference is obvious. The double-walled steel is heavy-duty, the doors close smoothly, and the 3-point lock is solid. Our OSHA inspector commented that these are the nicest safety cabinets he’s seen in any facility our size. Free shipping on items this heavy was a huge bonus.

Expert Insights
Safety Cabinets in Action
Warehouses, manufacturing floors, and maintenance departments use floor-standing flammable cabinets as the standard solution for bulk flammable liquid storage. They're positioned at production stations, in chemical storage rooms, and near loading docks.
Purchased by safety managers, facility directors, lab managers, EHS coordinators, warehouse supervisors, and compliance officers. All cabinets are manufactured in the USA with corrosion-resistant powder coating and arrive fully assembled with adjustable shelves.
Frequently Asked Questions
30-Gal Sliding Door Yellow Flammables Cabinet
Do I need to vent my flammable cabinet?
OSHA and NFPA 30 do not require venting. The cabinet comes with two vent plugs — leave them closed (with supplied bungs) unless local codes or your fire marshal requires connection to an exhaust system. If vented, connect to a listed exhaust system per NFPA 30.
How many flammable cabinets can I have?
NFPA 30 allows up to 3 cabinets per fire area without additional fire protection. Each cabinet can hold up to 60 gallons of Class I/II flammable liquids or 120 gallons of Class III combustible liquids. Additional cabinets may require supplemental fire suppression.
Does the cabinet need to be grounded?
Yes, ground the cabinet if storing flammable liquids that generate static electricity during transfer. A grounding lug is provided on most models. Bond the cabinet to dispensing containers with a bonding wire during filling operations.

The sliding doors are a game-changer in our narrow aisle layout. No more blocking the walkway when accessing chemicals. Smooth action and still fully NFPA compliant. Wish we had switched to these years ago.

Needed compliant safety storage for our facility expansion and AbsorbentsOnline had the best prices we found anywhere. The cabinets are well-built, arrived damage-free, and our compliance team had zero issues during the fire marshal walkthrough. We’ll be ordering more as we expand additional areas. The customer service team was also very responsive when we had questions about which sizes to order.
