10' Plastic Economy Barrier Rail

The 10-foot economy rail provides the widest coverage in the economy rail lineup. It is best suited for multi-lane highway work zones, wide intersection closures, and situations where you need to block a larger area with fewer barricade assemblies. At 10 feet plus the width of two A-Frame legs, a single barricade spans approximately 15 feet total -- enough to close most two-lane approaches. For high-speed highway applications, always use Diamond Grade (DG) or High-Intensity Prismatic (HIP) sheeting for maximum retroreflective visibility. The increased length means greater wind load on the barricade assembly, so filling leg ballast compartments with sand is essential. Position the barricade perpendicular to approaching traffic for maximum visibility of the reflective striping. Per MUTCD standards, longer barricade rails are particularly effective for approach warning in advance of lane closures. Due to the 10-foot length, two-person handling may be required during setup. Economy rails are rigid and cost-effective, but for high-impact-risk locations, consider the flexible I-beam barrier rails instead.
