Our vertical panel barricades come in two styles, with orange or white plastic panels and bases made of recycled rubber. Choose from three grades of reflective sheeting, with high visibility striping, or, traffic sign safety messages. Panels are available with double or single sides.

Featuring durable components, these vertical barricades come as complete units or individual parts. Panels have built in mount holes for barricade lights and grip handles for easy transport and placement. Molded lugs on the stackable bases ensure convenient non-slip storage.

These versatile barriers have many traffic control applications including pedestrian safety products. They are ideal for crosswalk traffic safety, in parking lots, schools, churches, or in-plant applications. Alert of road hazards such as speed bumps and humps, as well as general construction signs. Use them instead of traffic cones in work zones for lane closure dividers.

Highly portable and easy to handle

Both barricade styles have handles on the vertical panels and bases for convenient transport and placement. Parts are light enough for easy handling, yet sturdy enough to stay in place, with various base weights available.

A vulcanized rubber center section reinforces the base from wear and tear during panel separation. Built in lugs allow for secure stacking and storage, while foot pads minimize movement from wind or vehicle turbulence.

The two panel styles have built-in mount holes for standard and "D" cell barricade lights to meet NCHRP-350 approval. Vertical barricades offer superior visibility to pavement markings for pedestrian and driver safety.

Step-N-Lock vertical barricades

The Step-N-Lock barricades feature a durable blow-molded polyethylene panel and a 28 or 43 lbs recycled rubber base. Panels have easy-grip handles and barricade light mounting holes with built-in ledges to eliminate rotation. Recess sheets on the panel faces helps minimize abrasion and scratch damage. In the event of vehicle impact, the panel separates from the base. Replacement parts are available if necessary.

As the name suggests, these vertical panel barricades are quick and easy to assemble. Simply step down onto the foot hole to lock the panel securely in place. Vertical panels have six in-built locking buttons that attach to matching recesses in the rubber base molds. Unlike other vertical panels, this design means there are no heavy rings or bases to lift over the panel. Panels and bases easily separate and stack to store when not in use.

Made from 100% recycled rubber, the base has two easy-grip carry handles. Four raised foot pads on the under side minimize movement from wind or passing vehicle turbulence.

Reflective sheeting options

Vertical barricade panels come with three choices of reflective sheeting. The three grades offer differing retroreflective performance, which describes their ability to reflect light back. Retroreflectivity degrades over time depending on the sheeting material:

• Engineer Grade (EG) - returns a basic amount of light back to its source with a 5 year lifespan
• High Intensity (HI) - returns around 32% of light, is visible from 800 to 1,200 feet away, with a 10 year lifespan.
• Diamond Grade (DG) - returns around 60% of light, is visible from 1,300 to 1,600 feet away, with a 12 year lifespan.

In the event of damage, it is possible to remove and replace the panel barricade tape. Panels may be sheeted on none, one, or both sides. Note: Double-sided stripe panels have one left-facing stripe side, and right on the other. For left facing stripes only, please contact us to ask about a custom order.

Standard and custom messages

Choose from more than 40 standard message options on three grades of white, yellow, orange or blue solid sheeting. Fluorescent orange or lime green solid sheeting in diamond grade is also available by custom order.

Standard messaging has one-color printing in black, with two-color available by custom order. Panels may have striping or messages on one or both sides. Popular traffic barricade messaging options include caution, no parking and stop signs.
